My experience with the blogging

Finally this experience end but post in the blog was different to other English class. In the others English class I has presentation, oral interaction, listening, etc. but never have I posted in a blog.

However what is a blog? It is a website where you write periodically post an article (the most recent article appearing first) and somebody can write an answer producing a dialogue. Nevertheless the author can no allow that other people post a comment.

Moreover the blogging enable write a comment, to share ideas and feelings with somebody, also pictures and videos. Besides it allow to advertise and earn money (I put a advertisement but I not get money)

I enjoy it because was anything different to other English class, I learned about Norberto Bobbio, arrive of the Chilean football, my favourite film, and others topics and I know the classmates opinions. My favourite post was about Norberto Bobbio because I could better understand his thinking from his life. Also the bogging helped me to improve my English. Notwithstanding the blogging don’t makes the oral interaction therefore it only help to improve writing in English.

However in the class we had many problems with the computers; all computers no of order, ones without internet or with internet but it down suddenly. Anyway I could do my works in the blog and post to my classmates (I hope to get good grades).

In my opinion the blogging is a good tool for learn English because from it the students learn writing, sharing greetings, answer any article, in others words it give freedom to communicate with others in English.

Finally I hope to continue using the blog for write articles, post comment to my classmates and learn more English.

Definitely I feel that I know more English that when began this year

When arrive the football to Chile?¿?¿

The football is the most important sport in Chile. It arrives to Chile in the nineteen century when the English people disembarked in Valparaiso, Iquique, Coquimbo and Talcahuano. In these seaports the football became the most popular imported sport in minus of one decade.
The practice of the football started into British group on Mackay high school and Southerland from Cerro Alegre.
The first matches were played between 1885 and 1886 in the Valparaiso sporting club. In July 10th of those years Valparaiso F.C., the first Chilean football team, played.
In 1893 this sport arrives to Santiago. In November 25th of this year

was played the first international match. In the sporting club the seaport Chilean team versus a similar Argentina team composed by British citizens. This game finished with a tie.
In 1894 the seaport football clubs increased and these organized a tournament where the Valparaíso F.C. and Mackay F.C, Cerro Concepción team of the Cable West Word Company, England, Scotland, Valparaiso football league, Santiago and Viña del mar participated as well. This enthusiasm by the football originated two new football clubs: Victoria Rangers and Valparaíso Wanderers. Of these old football clubs only Santiago Wanderers and Everton from Viña del Mar survive today. Santiago Wanderers was born in August 15th in 1892 and Everton in June24th in 1909.
In Santiago, the football diffusion started a little after the seaports. It began in the Santiago College and the English international Institute from Quinta normal. In 1893 the Santiago club, the first football team from Santiago, was founded and after that the Santiago city (1893) and Santiago Rangers (1896) began.

Computer and computer games

My favourite technology is the computer. I can do with it papers, presentations and other works. Besides I can hear my favourite music, watch videos and films, chat with my friends, to have conference group, send e-mails, etc.

Anyway I use the computer to surf the net. My favourite websites are Facebook, Hotmail, Politicastereo, Catholic.com and Emol.

However I am a fan of the computer games. I like the strategy games such as Age of empires, Empire Earth, Rise of nations and those where you are the captain must build cities, harvest resources and destroy the enemy army.

Moreover I like “The Sims”. It is a social simulator where you create a family, build a home, to get job, and fulfill their needs for your family are happy. Nevertheless my favorite computer game is call Tropico 3. In this game you are the President of a banana republic and you can issue decrees, build big buildings, manage the economy, and meet the needs of the population, including other. Furthermore these games help me to develop my management and strategic skills.

Finally I invited you to explore the magic word of the computer games but without to drive nuts.

One of my favourite films...“A beautiful mind”

One of my favourite films is “A beautiful mind” it is a movie from 2001 and directed by Ron Howard, starring Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. This film received an Oscar for best film, best director and other nominations.
This is the history of John Forbes Nash, a student of math from University of Princeton and his life after graduating from College who suffer schizophrenia and he believes that he is pursued by the Russian intelligence agency because he worked deciphering Russian secret codes. Besides he got married and he has many problems caused by his mental illness. Finally he decided to continue working and he receive an Oscar.
I watched this film the first time when I was fifteen years old. In this occasion I went to cinema with my friends and we bought many snacks. This was a good day.
I like this film because the story is very exciting and the performance is very good.
Definitely I love it.

The philosopher and politics

Norberto Bobbio was born in Turin (Italy) in 1909 and died in 2004. He was an important intellectual contemporary.
Bobbio studied law in Turin and later he lecture of Law Philosophy in University of Camerino, Siena and Padua.
Besides between 1942 and 1943 he was member of Italian Antifascist Resistance for joining “Giustizia e Libertà” movement he was arrest.
On the other hand he was senator for life and Doctor Honoris Causa in the Universities of Paris, Buenos Aires, Complutence of Madrid, Bologna and Chambery.
Bobbio set up the Socialist-liberal party in 1942 but his most important contribution was in ideological field being some:
• What socialism? (1976)
• State, government and society: a General Theory of Politics (1985)
• Right and Left (1994)
• Neither Marx nor against Marx
• General Theory of Law (1958 and 1960)
• And others
I like Bobbio because is a great political, philosophical and law thinker. Besides I like because he was an important political activist. Anyway I have two books of him that Bobbio don’t write but some editorials published. These are Liberalism and Democracy (2006) and The philosopher and politics.

What is the music for me?

The music means for me an expression tool where any people can express oneself in the words and sound of the music. The music enable manifest against it of a war, discrimination o any idea. On the other hand enable to express feelings for example: happiness, sadness, hate, passion, love, etc.
I first started listening to the music I like when I’m sixteen years old. A friend invited me to his house and we listen to music and I liked.
I like because I express my feels and ideas about the world, entertain me and I can share with my friends.
My favourite band is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and my favourite song is “Dani California”. The song is about death of a young pregnant woman called Danielle California from Mississippi and her hard life. Besides I like the song “She’s only eighteen” and “Californication” of the Red Hot chilli Peppers too.

When happened the earthquake...

I slept when I felt a small tremor I was in my bed thinking about what would happen next. But as the seconds passed tremor became stronger and stronger, until I said "this is an earthquake." In that moment, my brother got up frightened, and then I shouted "come to bed with me Felipe!" I stayed with him until the inferno finished. However it had just begun.

Then mom and dad got up to see that all was well then got dressed and we called our relatives and friends to know how they were. When it was 04:00 am. we found a battery- radio and we learned of the magnitude of this catastrophe.

After two hours hearing the radio we went to bed though I couldn’t sleep.

The earthquake taught me that we are insignificant creatures, to be supportive with the needy, to have good communication with my neighbours and to value the family, the friend, and the gift of the life.
